Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using SoyPre (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use SoyPre. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Description of Service

SoyPre is a mobile application that helps users make informed decisions about food and cosmetic products by:

• Scanning product barcodes
• Providing nutritional analysis and ingredient information
• Identifying potential allergens and dietary concerns
• Offering personalized recommendations based on your dietary preferences and health goals
• Maintaining a database of food and cosmetic products

Important: SoyPre is an informational tool, not medical advice. Always consult healthcare professionals for medical decisions.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of SoyPre, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

Acceptable Use

You May:

• Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Scan products and use the information provided
• Share product recommendations with others
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the service

You May NOT:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App without permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the App to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use the App for commercial purposes without our written consent

User-Generated Content

Your Content

You may submit product ratings, reviews, and notes ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:

• Grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display your User Content within the App
• Represent that you own or have rights to the content you submit
• Agree that your User Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
• Understand that we may remove User Content that violates these Terms

Content Standards

User Content must not contain illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or offensive material. We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our discretion.

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The App, including its design, features, code, database, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by SoyPre and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include any rights to:

• Sell, rent, or commercially exploit the App
• Modify or create derivative works
• Use our trademarks or branding without permission
• Access or use the App's source code

Product Data

Product information (barcodes, ingredients, nutritional data) comes from public databases, manufacturer disclosures, and user contributions. We do not claim ownership of this factual data, but we own our unique compilation, analysis, and presentation of it.

Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

Medical Disclaimer

• No Medical Advice: We do not provide medical, health, or dietary advice
• Consult Professionals: Always consult doctors, dietitians, or allergists for health decisions
• Life-Threatening Allergies: Do not rely solely on SoyPre if you have severe allergies. Always read product labels
• Pregnancy & Health Conditions: Consult your healthcare provider before making dietary changes

Data Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate product information, but we cannot guarantee:

• Completeness or accuracy of all product data
• Real-time updates when manufacturers change formulations
• Coverage of all products worldwide

Always verify critical information on the product packaging.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• No Warranties: The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $100 if you haven't paid anything)

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for personal injury or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SoyPre, its affiliates, and team members harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the App
• Your User Content
• Your violation of any third-party rights

Third-Party Links & Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third parties. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.

Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time
• Change features, functionality, or database content
• Impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the App

We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when possible.

Pricing & Payments

Free Features

Core features of SoyPre are free to use. We may introduce premium features in the future.

Premium Features (Future)

If we introduce paid features:

• Pricing will be clearly displayed before purchase
• Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Refunds are subject to Apple and Google policies
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• We suspect fraudulent or illegal activity
• Required by law or regulatory authority
• We discontinue the service

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute, please contact us at legal@soypre.com to resolve it informally first.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction where SoyPre is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration (For Non-EU Users)

For users outside the EU, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

EU Users

EU users have the right to take legal action in their country of residence. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via:

• In-app notification
• Email to your registered address
• Prominent notice on this page

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Security page, constitute the entire agreement between you and SoyPre.
